I have friend of a friend of a friend who sells underground.
They sell lost or wanted movies to private collectors. I read today about a private collector scoring a copy of LAM for a couple of hundred bucks

Yes. The film would be. I think till 2027 (but I'm not sure about that). I just want a few minutes to prove that the film exists somewhere in this great big old world.
1 copy burned up in 67. That's one out of several copies from around the world. Germany, Portugal, Spain, Greece, and a few more all had copies of this film. Pre 67 tv might have used a clip on a television program orin a tv special about silent films.
I'm doing this because I want to see the film. Period.

On You Tube there is a short movie called BOO!(1932)from Universal Studios that has clips from Frankenstein, Nosferatu and The Cat Creeps- The Cat Creeps is a lost movie and tis short film has (Aside from the trailer) The only footage known of the movie- I'm sure MGM also made a lot of short movies to show in their theaters (The big studios owned their own theaters then) So maybe a search of the old shorts of MGM would turn up a clip or two from LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT.

There is a DVD you might want to look up if they still sell it- Something Weird Video's edition of MONSTERS CRASH PAJAMA PARTY. There is an extra of an old home movie that seems to be from the late 20's (The clothes seem to be from that era) In this home movie a tall thin man is dress as Lon Chaney Sr's vampire from LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT and is walking weirdly- Forrest J. Acterman said that the vampire in LAM walked like Groucho Marx and that is how the man in the home movie seems to walk. The film had to been made by people who saw the film in it's theater release so you might want to check it out to see how the vampire moved and acted from someone copying the movements of Chaney.

I did not make myself clear in my post- I did not think that was Chaney in this short film- I do believe that it is some one who saw the movie and is copying Chaney's acting from the movie and from that we can have an idea of how the vampire was played by Chaney.
